A person that you know that is normally outgoing and very responsible gets addicted to drugs is just breaks my heart. My aunt four kids and had it all together until she met this man, and he took over her life with drugs. She abandoned the kids and left with the man because she was so addicted to drugs. She started prostituted herself just so she could get a hit. She was robbing people even her own family. Well. all the kids were split up with different relative. My aunt finally got caught and she was sentenced to jail. While she was in jail they were suppose to help her clean up her act. When she got out the first thing she did was go look for drugs, jail had did nothing for her. She was the same junk she was before she went, but she was just ten time worse. When a person has a problem with addiction jail is not the solution. These people need real help that will have them function in everyday society. A person going to jail for an addiction that will not be corrected there is wasting the taxpayers money that could be going towards educated our children. The prison that rehabilitate anyone it makes them worse.

I interviewed a woman who I will call Lisa. Lisa has ADHD. She said that during her childhood her parents would scold and punish her alot because she was not doing what she was told on a regular basis. The teachers would call and state that she was not paying attention, finishing her homework, or just distracted all day, she stated that she spend most of her elementary day losing her recess and doing homework during that time. Then, she stated a new fifth grade teacher came to her school. The teacher didn't call her parent or fuss at her for two weeks. The teacher set-up a meeting with Lisa parent's and the counselor. The teacher told them the finding and suggested she see a doctor. The doctor diagnosed her with ADHD. She was prescribed medication and her attention was outstanding to the point she could finish her homework. Now, Lisa is a teacher and she still has to take her medication. She thought she had grew out of being ADHD so she stopped taking the medication. She stated that she was just a mess. She went to work late, she was not focus enough to teach, she was unorganized, and it was to the point that she became depressed because she said she felt like she let herself down. She takes her medication everyday and she is very thankful for her fifth grade teacher for helping her.

What is exercise? Exercise to me is doing cardio and weight training within your target heart rate. A simple definition but not a simple thing to do. I joined a gym in February 2011 and have been there 3 times since I joined. I know that is just sad.  When my first challenge is that I work 16 hours every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Then on top of that I have to be at work at 4am in the morning. The days that I am off I try to spend that time doing chores, homework, spending time with my kids, and sleeping. The closes real gym is in the next town which is only about 15 minutes away. The problems that I have with healthy diet choices is that the food that are good food you cost more. Even though everything in the grocery store is expensive now, but healthy food cost even more. The fast food restaurants now have all the special on meals and it is so convience for me. I know I show do better but eat right is just not something that happens over night. The process must gradually to not set yourself up for failure. I think exercise should be added into the process gradually also to not overwhelm a person that is just starting to get their weight under control.  I have made a commitment to myself that in August 2011 I will start weight watcher. I have did weight watcher and it is an awesome program it works if you stick with it, and the reason why I stop is because when I was nursing school was just eating everything to stay awake and study. I will also try to go to the gym at least once a week in the month of August just to start slow and increase gradually. I hope within five years I think with my goal and lose the weight that I want and have kept it off. I also want to feel good and be able to walk in one of the Susan G.Korman breast cancer walk. I just have to motivate myself to go forward and be successful.

She stated what made her go to the doctor and talk with her agin was she was having hot flashes all the time and it was getting unbearable. The doctor told her if she would do the HRT that would help with the hot flashes. The doctor also told her that if she take the pills that it will help with the prevention of osteoporosis. She stated that she has been taking the medication for 9 months and she can tell the different with the hot flashes they are mild now. She also stated that all the things that her friends told her was so far not true. She stated that she feel great and that was probably the best decision that she has made in a long time.
